If you have one referral that means you have referred one person to Zombie Adds. The top referrals are the people who have referred the most people to the site!

How do you get referrals?
By posting tweets or codes. Your screenname is included with the link to Zombie Adds. So whenever someone clicks the link and then joins you'll get referral points.

Why aren't my referrals showing up?
Either because you haven't referred anyone new to the site, or because you referred someone to the site on your own computer. You won't get any referral points for those two things.

I bought VIP but my account hasn't changed.
Most likely I haven't checked my email yet and added the VIP days. OR you bought VIP with an eCheck, and those can take 5+ to process in Paypal.
